March 2015 was the launch of the pilot session of

Wildlife HERO!

Delaware Elementary is host of this

active and fun experience!

In the spring of 2016 our Wildlife HERO program focused on trees.  We spent six weeks doing activities indoors and out, exploring what lives in and on trees, tree biology, and how trees contribute to the ecosystem.

For the culmination of the activities we held an assembly at Delaware Elementary.  The HERO participants were fabulous and had a great time!

We look forward to another HERO session at Delaware this next school year!

If you are a student at Delaware Elementary in Springfield, Missouri, and you are in 4th or 5th grade, you are eligible to join us for the Spring 2017 of Wildlife HERO!

The program will take place on Tuesdays after school from March 21 - April 25 with a special program on Tuesday, May 2 in the afternoon!

This year we will focus our attention on Mammals

This six-week program will feature outdoor activities, hands-on learning, and lots of opportunities to discover the wonders of Missouri's mammals!

This is a great way to get involved with nature and build up your educational skills at the same time!

Be on the lookout for sign-up sheets which will be sent home very soon!

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!
